You : You suffered from a condition called pyelonephritis. This type of infection is caused by certain bacteria, the most common being e. Coli;  this infection spreads from the urinary tract (UTI) to the bladder and can spread all the way to the kidneys. The most common way to get a UTI (more so in women) is by bacteria from the rectum easily traveling up the urethra(where the urine comes out).

There are certain risk factors for developing pyelonephritis, which include: diabetes, pregnancy, older age, narrow urethra, surgey, enlarged prostate, etc.

It may be difficult to determine why you developed pyelonephrits, however there are ways to help prevent this from happening again:
avoid alcohol and caffeine 
avoid tight-fitting clothing
drinking plenty of fluids (cranberry juice, water) 
instead of baths  take a shower
urinating before and after sexual intercourse 
wiping from front to back after a bowel movement 
avoid undergarments made from synthetics
avoid use of scented products around the genitals

always see your doctor if you suspect you have a UTI or pyelonephritis.

i have haemorrhoids for the first time and have not started any treatment yet. now, 24 hours later i have what feels like a bad bladder infection. pressure on the bladder, urge to urinate but unable to, burning sensation when i do. related?

See a Dr.: A bladder infection requires a visit with a Dr either on Telemedicine or in person. They can give you a referral for a urinalysis and a prescription for antibiotic to cure the infection. As for the Hemorrhoid, you should increase your dietary fluids and fiber to prevent constipation, and straining, use topical witchhazel for inflammation and Preparation H or another vasoconstricting cream.

i suffer from recurrent uti. i have fibroids in my uterus that cause pressure.can this be a reason for continuous bladder infections?

Absolutely: The fibroid pressure on your bladder is making it almost impossible to completely empty your bladder when voiding. Residual urine is one of the chief causes of recurrent urinary tract infections. As a noted tip: Empty your bladder before and as soon as convenient after intercourse to help prevent infections.

YES =U.T.I.: A bladder infection (lower urinary tract infection, u.T.I) may present with just frequency and pressure.  You may or may not have other symptoms: urgency (the urge to go , dysuria (pain with urinating). Visible blood may or may not be seen (but small blood can be seen on urine-analysis).  So keep hydrated and get seen now: if any back pain, fever (sign of kidney infection). Hope you well soon!

Need antibiotic: Urinary infections are typically bacterial, and AZO and fluids alone will not rid you of the bacterium.  You may need antibiotics.  Visit your doctor.

i have been taking cipro (ciprofloxacin) for a bladder infection for 2 days. yesterday my symptoms were much better but tonight the pressure and urgency have returned?

recently had to have emergency surgery for appendix removed.  what is the recovery time, and how long are the lift limitations?  also could the surgery have caused a bladder infection to create some un-comfort/pressure when urinating?

Surgery recovery : Usually post appendectomy instructions are for light lifting and diminished exercise for several weeks following discharge from the hospital. Check with your surgeon to see what he/she prefers, as not every surgeon will say the same.

Antibiotic: Urinary tract infections are caused by an infectious agent in the urinary system.  This is usually a bacteria and usually is limited to the bladder (i.e. bladder infection). The most common symptoms are burning with urination and having to urinate frequently.  Treatment requires antibiotics, such as bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim). ciprofloxacin, even Keflex or ampicillin.  See your doctor if this does not get better

i'm about to start back at school and i really want the bladder infection to be gone by then what are some home remedies?

Antibiotics needed: Home remedies may not work. No known regimen was shown to work. If you leave it untreated, you may get kidney infection. You can try cranberry juice a few cups daily. Another trick is to make a day for cranberry juice and alternate it with a day of unsweetened ice tea.  Altering acidity of cranberry with alkalinity of ice tea may be effective.
