i'm experiencing pressure above my ear region on both sides of my head...like atension headache but this is the first time the pressure is persistent.

Not unusual: This appears to be a tension headache although no hx is given. No meds were mentioned and no note of doctor involvement. Need to make sure your blood pressure is normal. If this is ok, seek  your doctor advice in regards to treatment.

Labyrinthitis: you may have an inner ear infection, or labyrinthitis.  get yourself to a doctor to be checked.  this is very treatable.

Pain above ear: Pain above ear can be due to many things. Do you have a headache as well? Do you have pain in the eye also when you move your eye? Any hearing loss? We can help solve the mystery but need more information.

31 y/o male no current health issues. week of left ear feeling slightly clogged along with the left temple area and area directly above my ear feeling pressure . no current pain. had a similar incident several months ago that eventually went away?

: Are you asking what is causing this problem or how to fix it?  Cause could be allergies or infection or occasionally physical anomaly resulting in clogged tube.  See your primary care physician for further evaluation or consider a visit to an allergist or ENT (ear/nose/throat doctor) if your symptoms persist.

Ans: Well possibly. When the sinuses are congested one can have ear pain eye pain and tooth pain and of course head pain. See if you feel better after you irrigate the sinus or steam. Get the team inhaled to move the sinus congestion

Neuralgia: Such sharp,jabbing pains in that area are often due to neuralgia which is an irritable superficial nerve. This is more of a nuisance than anything serious and usually resolves without any specific treatment. However if symptoms persist or worsen, see your physician for evaluation.

If you have an infection or allergies that can affect how your eustachian tube opens to equalize the pressure behind your eardrum and the outside air pressure.
