Myoclonus: This sudden jerking movement and or twitching body movements while falling sleep are quite normal and are known as myoclonic physiological jerking. It is a benign condition which does not need any treatment. If the twitching or jerking are localized just to one area of the body specific and repeatedly you may ask your PCP. Thanks

Bruxism: Teeth grinding (bruxism) is common.   Twitching is not uncommon either. Causes vary from sleep disorders, lifestyle and psychological factors; certain digestive issues, and/or underlying anxiety which accounts for about 70% cases.  A night time teeth grinding mouth guard is a worthy investment and can be found at most pharmacies or on line.  Good luck.

Stress can cause all kinds of bizarre symptoms that come and go so this could all be due to that.The foot numbness was probably due to compression of some nerves somewhere and also not important if no longer there. Try to identify factors causing stress and relieve them. See your doc if symptoms persist.thanks

Maybe: Twirching of the extremities, as you describe is common as part of opiate withdrawal symptoms. In fact, that's the origin of the expression: kicking the habit. So, you need to discuss this situation with your prescribing physician to best determine why you might be in withdrawal symptoms. I wonder if you are leaving it under your tongue long enough and are not getting the full dose? Good luck.

Unclear: Since you are being treated for a sinus infection situation is more complex.  Pay attention to what part of right head goes numb.  Nerves to anterior skull are different from nerves to posterior skull.  The fact that you are young and symptoms are on opposite sides of head makes possibility of concerning illness less.  Stress can cause non-specific, wierd symptoms; but caution when infection.

last night i felt twitching above my knee, went on all night finally fell asleep but was aware of it and woke with it still this morning, could this be from my increase in walking, i've done 3km the last 10 day's and was never used to that. a strain?

Yes: Most likely an overuse problem. Try massaging these muscles before and after walking, with or without topicals. Stretching before and after should also help Improve  circulation. Be sure you have a good walking shoe with ankle support so as not to put excess strain on the knees. Stay hydrated and/or use electrolyte solutions. Keep mobile

Need evaluation: During that interval between wakefulness and sleep there is some normal shifting around of arms and legs.  This does not normally require treatment.Anxiety can make these movement more pronounced and when anxiety is treated they lessen and sleep comes more quickly.
Sometimes however when the restless movements are very  bothersome they represent restless legs syndrome (rls) and need meds.

Perhaps a seizure: You may have experienced a focal seizure, and if so, need to confirm and start meds to prevent future episodes.  Other medical problems may be causative.  See your physician asap, and do not drive a motor vehicle until all is controlled.
