Prematurity : I’m sorry to hear this. Blood in the lungs at such a gestation is difficult. This is mostly from the underdevelopment of the lungs. If the child is on a ventilator, addition PEEP can sometimes help. Sometime a small dose of epinephrine through the endotracheal tube can also assist. Also giving products like platelets and frozen plasma may help. Options usually are limited though.

Infant nutrition ?'s: At one year of age, your daughter should be nearing her natural milestones of growth and development.  Consult your pediatrician for advice as to nutritional supplements, as there may be other reasons for "failure to thrive" at one year of age.
