: It's best to perform a pregnancy test 4 or 5 days after a missed period.  If your menstrual cycle is quite regular and about 28 days, unprotected sex on the last day of your period wouldn't occur during your ovulation which would occur on or about day 14. You may have had an anovulatory ( no egg) cycle &amp; are experiencing hormonal imbalance. Your gynecologist can advise you best.

Anovulation: It sounds as if you are experiencing anovulatory cycles. These are cycles where the ovary fails to release an egg.  This causes temporary hormonal disruption.

2nd trimester, maybe: Once the uterus becomes an abdominal organ and leaves the pelvic cavity in the 2nd trimester the symptoms may abate. However, your abdomen will become distended at that point, and there may be other symptoms of pregnancy.
