i used peroxide to clean my ear this morning can the liquid get caught in the middle ear or eustachian tube?

Not usually: If it was applied to the outside part of the ear, then usually no. There is an ear drum that separates the outer ear from the middle ear and the eustachian tube. If there is perforation of the eardrum then potentially the answer is yes.

one ear is muffled/ringing the last 4d since snorkeling. i can equalize with no problem. the outer ear is clear. i assume water in the middle ear, but since i can equalize fine i think the eustachian tube is not blocked so how could that be?

: If water entered your ear canal &amp; mixed with wax, the latter would be apt to swell &amp;block the canal near the ear drum. Water cannot penetrate the ear drum unless there is a perforation of the ear drum.  All this is.independent of the eustachian tube. An examination of your ear will determine if you require ear wax removal by aspiration or currette but not irrigation unless the ear drum is visible

i have eustachian tube dysfunction & am taking sudafed and afrin (oxymetazoline). how long will it take to clear up and when will the ringing in ears take to clear up?

Depends: Eustachian tube dysfunction can been sudden related to swimming or other pressure related changes or related chronic problems related to allergy.  If you have been on those meds for over a week, you may need something stronger, so see a physician or an ENT doctor.

hi, i have muffled hearing in my left ear. i am almost certain that it is a build up of mucus in the eustachian tube. i have just come from the end of the flu, after 6 days. how long does it take for the eustachian tube to clear? thanks.

It depends : It depends On things like your specific anatomy (how vertical your Eustachian tube is), how hydrated you are , other medications you are taking, etc. if not improved in a few days try irrigating your sinuses with a saline rinse daily. If any pain, swelling or discharge of the ear occurs go to clinic

Tinnitus: I'm not sure what we can add to 4 ENTs you have consulted in person who have reviewed your detailed medical history and examined you. Did anyone suggest tympanostomy or tubes? have you had any hearing loss on audiogram? if yes, was there any SNHL? we also dont know what medication you may be on as many medications can cause tinnitus. Riboflavinoids are thought to help reduce tinnitus. see ENT.

Medical vs surgical: If you do have eustacian tube dysfunction that is causing your ringing/tinnitus in the affected ear, then focus on treating that. Nasal steroid, decongestant, antihistamines etc...If not adquate, oral steroid briefly and diuretic may help. If adenoids/tonsils are large, removal may help. Or, consider having an ear-tube (myringotomy) by an ENT doc..Consult your doc for eval/treatment. Good luck.

Possible but unlikel: I can imagine that the obstruction of the eustachean tube may lead to fluid gravitated at the eustachean tube level but this is a highly unlikely scenario  If you have had this problem for a long time, see an ENT and even a 2nd opinion if necessary.

ENT consultation: with the use of nasal lavage, decongestants and intranasal cortisone. Occasionally, oral prednisone may be described; however, I suggest flexible nasopharyngoscopy.
