i have a very small fibroid in posterior wall of uterus. can this affect my pregnancy? my right ovary is pcod i have been trying for a baby for 5 mnth

Ovary: If you have been trying for a baby for 5 months I strongly suggest that you and your husband make an appointment to see a Gynecologist. Won't be easy but quite important.

02 fibroids in posterior wall,largest 7.4x5.5cm,uterus size 11.7x7.8x6.0cm,. can i try to conceive with these fibroids? do you think they will cause pregnancy problems? i dont want to have surgery

Need more info: Do they have any submucous components? Even if not, the fibroid size is large.  Pregnancy may be uneventful but not always.

sonography report  uterus is retroflexed & bulky & normal in shape. thick endometrium (15 mm).a posterior fibroid seen. what does it mean? pregnancy?

Depends: If the ultrasound was done to detect a pregnancy, then this could mean that the pregnancy hormone concentration is too low and the pregnancy too young to be detected on ultrasound. It can also mean that the pregnancy is outside the uterus. Endometrium is thin at the beginning of the cycle and gets thicker until after ovulation. 15 mm is on the high end of what one would expect.

Commonly found: Fibroids are found incidentally during pregnancy, some grow, some stay same size. Stay in touch with Obs-Gyn doc for proper surveillance and management.

Nothing to do: Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to stop fibroids from growing during pregnancy. The growth is mostly related to the increased blood flow to the uterus during pregnancy. This is important for the placenta and fetal development, so you don't want to minimize blood flow to the uterus.

can a calcified fibroid, regrow and cause complications during pregnancy.

Yes: Uterine fibroids can regrow if they are  not totally removed and cause complications during the pregnancy and delivery. Fibroid growth is stimulated by estrogen and during pregnancy, estrogen values are markedly enlarged.

can fibroids decrease in size and/or number? i had over a half dozen during pregnancy, including one over 4cm. two years later ultrasound shows only one, less than 1cm. where did they go?

: Pregnancy has a relative high level of estrogen (estriol), which can stimulate growth in size of "fibroids".  After pregnancy, the decrease in exposure to the stimulating effect will diminish, and the size of the benign fibroids will diminish as well.

Depends on location: Location, location, location! it all depends upon where the fibroid is located and the size of the fibroid. Many women have fibroids and have nvd for all deliveries. There is more to determining the route of delivery than a fibroid.

Accepted Answer

Cervix: Incompetent cervix can be from the following: previous surgery, prior difficult birth, malformed cervix from birth defect, prior d and c, DES exposure.  Fibroids do not cause incompetent cervix.  However, both conditions can be associated with miscarriage.

could uterine ligaments stretch to a breaking point, if  a uterine fibroid was growing under it during  pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

No: Fortunately - they uterine ligaments will never rupture or tear. Though sometimes the searing pain as they get stretched can feel like they will. But rest assured , that can never happen.
