what exactly is a post traumatic headache?

Follow head trauma: Post traumatic headaches in the medical community almost always refers to a headache which occurs in an individual after a traumatic injury to the head or concussion if the whack to the noggin' is hard enough.  Remember, not all traumatic blows or injuries to the head necessarily have to cause a concussion.  But certainly all concussions imply a traumatic brain injury. Headaches came after those.

i'm 21.and suffer from clinical  depression and post traumatic headache. i want to be cured without medication. is it possible?

It is possible, but: After neuroimaging and physical examination have excluded structural damage, management depends upon the particular type of headache that is present. While most patients with headaches and post-traumatic syndrome will improve with time, some studies have shown that 20-24% of patients may have a persistent headache two to four years after the traumatic injury. Ask your PCP for more info.

i had a brain injury 2 years back.i suffer from post traumatic headache since then. is it curable?

Probably: I can not say for sure because it depends on your individual situation but there are treatments that can help many people. The first thing I would advise is cranial osteopathy, but i do no know if that is available in India. I also advise homeopathy, which is often very effective for this, and many of the best homeopaths in the world are in India. Acupuncture might also help.

Injury seemed to have happened when you were technically pediatric/ Adolescence age group. Should first see the PCP or Pediatric Neurologist for evaluation before anything else. First : First off, i would like to thank you for your service to our country.  I can't tell you if the benefits from medical marijuana outweigh the risks in your particular case there can be very significant deterimental effects from marijuana. 
  I would like to suggest another option, which is now available at some va medical centers-. Medical acupuncture. This is performed by a physician.  So many of our wounded warriors are obtunded by massive use of opiates to control their pain. There life can literally revolve around physical and emotional pain and it's treatment.
    Medical acupuncture is safe, effective and pretty non-invasive.  It is now being used at military treatment facilities as well as in the battlefield.  There are protocols for traumatic brain injuries, headache pain, post traumatic stress disorder, insomnia, ringing in the ears, loss of balance and more. I am using acupuncture at the military treatment facility that i work at. It provides hope and a real vehicle for recovery. God bless.

PTSD: Often responds well to cognitive processing therapy (a form of cognitive behavioral therapy), emdr, specialized group therapy,  virtual reality exposure therapy, psychoeducation and psychiatric medications are sometimes warranted as well.

Symtpoms include reliving the event through flashbacks, repeated nightmares & memories of event, etc; avoidance or emotional numbing, feeling detached, having no interest in usual activities; and arousal -- difficulty concentrating, falling/staying asleep, startling, & hypervigilance.
