Besides...: Besides the localized pain and rash that shingles cause it may also present with flu like symptoms. So yes, you may experience symptoms of weakness and fatigue although this is not the most common or prominent symptom with this type of viral infection.

Shingles: Shingle can occur anywhere in the body, usually as painful blisters affecting one side of the body.  This is caused by chicken pox (herpes zoster) viral infection, which lies dormant in the nerve tissue and reactivate as shingles. It can heal by itself in 2 - 3 weeks. i've been taking acyclovir for shingles and some of the side effects it says to consult a doctor about are confusion/ fatigue. can i talk to someone?

Prob not acyclovir: Acyclovir is an extremely safe drug and rarely causes side effects of any kind. It is not a likely cause of confusion or fatigue. However, a severe case of shingles could cause fatigue. This is something to discuss with the doctor who prescribed it. Good luck.

Unlikely: Some people think you can only get shingles once and
some others think you can get it more than once.  It is unusual to get shingles in people under 40 years old.
Mild systemic symptoms are more associated with shingles, such as fatigue, low fever, more of a mild viral
syndrome.  Chills, nausea, muscle aches would be unusual. To my knowledge gulain barre has not been
associated with shingles.

See answer: If you have orofacial or genital herpes (hsv-1/hsv-2), you cannot transmit the infection to another part of your body after initial infection occurs. That said, with genital herpes, one has infection of the l-4, l-5, and s-1 nerve roots which innervate the rectal area, buttocks and lateral aspect of the thigh and so outbreaks can occur in those areas. Shingles can affect any area of the body.

Uncertain: Famiclovir has not been described to cause the side effects you are describing.  32 years is relatively young to be suffering from zoster.  You should see your doctor for a proper evaluation.

Shingles : This is not unusual as the nerve root has been inflamed and,unfortunately, postherpetic neuralgia may be a chronic condition. At this time I would ask a neurologist if a course of corticosteroid medication may be worthwhile. However it is not unusual for a typical case of shingles to have pain lasting a few weeks and then resolve.
