i previously asked if std's/pregnancy was possible from toilet paper, and the doctor said neither can be spread by inanimate objects.  what if someone used it to wipe? could it spread something? why have other sites said it was possible but unlikely?

Blood test: Pregnancy test can be done on urine or blood. Blood test is more sensitive and you need to see a doctor for that. Urine test is the same whether done by the doctor or done at home. Blood test gives a number which is the level of beta hcg.

Early u/s: If the first day of your last normal period was July 20, and you have a positive test then the reason they did not see anything in U/S was because it is too early. Did they ask you to come back next week to rescan you?

Pregnancy: If you have regular menstrual cycles, a pregnancy test will be positive soon after your missed period (1-3 days).  Some tests may detect things earlier.  You can check a urine pregnancy test  at home if you are concerned at all and have a blood pregnancy test at your doctor's office  to confirm the pregnancy.

Pregnant: It certainly is good that one feels fine after two positive pregnancy tests, but that doesn't change the fact that one is pregnant.  Best to keep your appointment with your doctor, but get seen sooner if any vaginal bleeding, fever, or pain.  Good luck!

Yes: Most OB doctors will perform an internal ultrasound to measure the gestational sac to check the progression of the pregnancy compared to the date of last period, look for fetal heart beat (good sign of a viable pregnancy) and make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus and not in the tube which can be a problem.

Blood test: If the urine test is faint then it means the hormone level is really low. This could just be because the test was taken early. Simply repeat in a few days or take a blood bhcg test.

I would: Early pregnancy can cause upt to be less accurate. I would check again in a few days. Then, you might have to wait until you either miss or start your next period.
