Yes: 1:320 along with positive ssDNA Ab and the symptoms you are having makes Systemic Lupus a strong possibility. I suggest seeing a Rheumatologist so they can also evaluate and potentially initiate treatments.

dxed w/ sle 3yrs (positive ana, anti-ds dna, anti-chromatin, anti-cardiolipin antibodies, rash, nasal/oral lesions, etc.). i also have mild psoriasis/uveitis. dr. suspect possible psoriatic arthritis. is it possible to have both psa and lupus?

Yes!: While lupus is not  uncommon, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis or quite common!  I have patients with both.

Possibly: this is one of the many blood tests used to diagnose lupus..you should consult your rheumatologist to have them run a full battery of tests

Yes: A positive double stranded is fairly specific for lupus but can occasionally seen in other diseases.

Usually negative: Anti-nuclear antibodies are almost always positive if it's really lupus. These tests are fraught with technical pitfalls, and are never more than adjuncts to a clinical diagnosis.

Unknown cause: Many lupus patients do not have a strong family history of lupus. It appears lupus patients have a genetic predisposition for the disease and then something activates the gene for lupus. A virus or bacteria or something else in the environment could set the lupus off. We do not know the exact cause.

Prob u don't have it: Systemic lupus erythematosis is one of dozens of diseases grouped into the category of autoimmune connective tissue diseases. Many of these do not fit nicely into one, so that one can have a 'mixed' connective tissue disorder, or have an overlap of signs & sx. It may take years of following one of these unclear disorders to see a pattern. U probably have sjogren's disease, period. C rheumatologist.

Yes: The ANA is often done wrong at the lab.  You didn't hear about this from me.  Lupus is a difficult disease, with many mimics, and whether true ana-negative lupus exists or whether / when lupus should be treated empirically  with the strong medications is requires is a question for your rheumatologist.
