after taking ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg 1-1 for 5 days my sgpt goes only 97 to 94 why ? is there anything to worry i didn't drink alcohol ever eat healthy no fever,no diabetes etc doctor checked tlds test its normal?

: Would suggest trying to connect your mildly elevated sgpt with your possible symptoms through a formal diagnosis and prior to starting meds to treat a condition. 5 days of treatment and a difference of 3 units is not enough to elicit a trend and/or to decide if response/ non-response to current drug. Talk to your treating doc about goals of treatment.

symptoms long term parotid swelling on left with growth . diagnosis sialosis. i have pain & numbness. the test felt swelling & prod with metal probe and cotton bud. no history taken. i dont drink alcohol ever.  no diabetes. any other tests required?

See Ent doctor: Sialosis is not an inflammation of the salivary gland, parotid in your case.  What throws off that diagnosis is the pain and numbness.  Sialoadenosis needs to be properly examine and tested by a knowledgeable ENT doctor.  With the pain and numbness there is a possibility of something growing within the parotid, probably benign, but it is creating internal forces in the gland.

Alcohol adds: Calories to your intake and can increase weight. Alcohol without food can lead to low blood sugar. Alcohol can interact adversely with many medications. Alcohol can diminish your judgement and prevent you from following your diabetes care plan with compliance. Alcohol in excess can poison your liver and pancreas.

i have a diabetes, and i just can't leave taking alcohol atleast twice a week. how can i control my diabetes?

Self control: Hi!  if you have diabetes, drinking alcohol or soda is just adding extra sugar into your system.  It will complicate the ability to control your diabetes.  If you are drinking twice a week, i would encourage you to reduce it to once a week then discontinue completely.  If you drink with friends or family, ask them to support your effort to stop drinking to save your body from diabetic complication.

Okay in moderation: It is important to know that alcohol has no proven cardiovascular benefits. The french study that shows benefit with daily 2 oz of wine was biased by the fact that persons using wine, not beer, were better off financially i.e. Took meds, saw docs, had insurance. Note, neither grape juice, used in wine, and other alcohols have no benefit for heart. Remember, the french benefit from selling wine.

Via filtration: The role of alcohol has dual properties to someone who has diabetes. Ironically alcohol alone has a lowering effect on blood glucose since its largely metabolized by the liver.  It can halt production of glucose by the liver.  On the other hand the increased carb load that is associated with e.G beer contribute to increased blood glucose which gets filter by the kidneys.
