As a human you'd have to be pretty damned sick, with the inner lining of the intestines or colon sloughing off, like with necrotizing enterocolitis or a BAAAD case of ulcerative colitis or-- a piranha eating its way through your gut. In many inflammatory problems, microscopic portions may pass out but not the whole lining!

Thought question: We take these for granted when advising patients. The pills themselves don't get in. The dissolve to their components and either go thru small pores, translocate via enzyme process and help or transport systems, or work on certain receptors in cells, exert their effect on these cells and allow the cells to perpetuate their intended activity through production of certain proteins by the cells.

Find out cause: Depending on your age a diagnostic test to rle out obstructive disease such bas colonoscopy should be done.If negative most cases are don t dietary indiscretion such as lack nof fiber in the diet. I would add a high fiber cereal and a daily dose of a fiber suplement such as Metamucil to your diet and obsrve.

hi, im 23 years old female and i think i found a worm in my poop after i took albenda since i had some of the symptoms of worms in intestine but ive never seen worms until today i guess, it was brown and a little thick im not sure if it was a worm?

Really constipated?: Colonics & purges are popular but should be avoided & can not be recommended (see earlier healthtap answers). Use of irritant laxatives are safe for the short-term only. Fiber supplements, stool softeners, & lavage agents like MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) are safe. Rx drugs are available, but 1st need to know cause of constipation. Undergone medical evaluation to rule out colon motility, rectal dysfunction, blockage?
