No: By definition a person who is "highly allergic" to anything should never take it. What you mean by highly allergic is not evident. Some might consider a slight rash a major event. For me highly allergic means an exposure could kill you.

Yes (safe to take): Propylene glycol is a potentially unsafe propane agent, and polyethylene glycol is a VERY SAFE laxative, effective  for constipation with minimal absorption or side effects. These are two very different products.

Dehydration: Polyethylene glycol 3350 is an osmotic diuretic, previously used to prepare bowel for colonoscopy. Low blood pressure can be due to dehydration which can, in turn, result from osmotic diuresis. Best to rehydrate w/plenty of fluids, enough to make urine clear. If no better, tell prescribing doc your concerns.

Dissolve powder: The powder (polyethylene glycol) gets dissolved in water or other liquid-becomes tastelss liquid, not gummy. Do not self treat possible impaction or obstruction.  See md.  Bowel obstruction can be a big deal; laxatives are contraindicated  (i.e. Do not use) if obstructed.  Fecal impactions  and possible obstructions need to be evaluated by md before advising appropriate rx.

Miralax (polyethylene glycol): I suppose you could if you wanted to.  However, MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) has no real taste and from what I have heard, it has no real texture.  If you're trying to disguise the miralex, you might try putting in a liquid beverage you like.  If you put it on pancakes, you may never want to eat pancakes again.

= Colonoscopy prep: Miralax (polyethylene glycol) is essentially a small dose of oral lavage widely prescribed for years in preparation for colonoscopy. The drug is not generally absorbed, so more taken means more of it available to promote bowel evacuation. An "overdose" of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) approaches the dose that optimally cleanses the colon for colonoscopy as something called "MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) prep." don't "od" on your own--see doctor for right dose.
