Mycoplasma infection: Walking pneumonia is the commonly used name for infection caused by the organism mycoplasma pneumoniae. It can have a varied presentation on chest xray, ranging from diffuse reticulonodular pattern to lobar consolidation. There can be some fluid collection around the lungs as well. Ct scans can show ground glass patterns or even nodular densities at times. Xray findings are non-specific in most.

Confirm diagnosis. : The first thing you would need to do is confirm the actual diagnosis. Pneumonia and tuberculosis have vastly different treatment regimens and long-term implications.

Not to aorta: Torturous aortas occur as we age. As long as the pneumonia is being treated then there are few risks

Repeat x-Ray: Have you had a repeat chest x-Ray following treatment for the pneumonia? In most uncomplicated cases of pneumonia the xray should return to normal. If it doesn't then a referral to a pulmonologist would be recommended.
