Moderation/Activitie: I dont know your age but whatever yourage is, playing video games has to be in moderation and you have to get up and do some physical activities, like walking, jogging, dancing, bicycling etc.If you want to be healthy you have to  balance it out

It could: While you are walking briskly between holes (good), or if you are an intense player (not as good), or if your play, shot etc. Makes u angry (bad). If in doubt see Ur doc. Good luck.

Not usually: It depends upon the size and location of the hole as well as the presence of other defects. Many holes are very small and cause no problems and may close without treatment. Those do not usually require activity restrictions. Some are large enough to require closure either with a catheter delivered device or with surgery. Once recovered these repairs, there are usually no activity restrictions.

No: Your recovery should be quicker than that.  Just judging from this information alone, i suspect you are not in your top physical condition. As you train, your recovery time will improve.

Sports advice: Go for it. Cardiologists, usually are pretty conservative; however if he says go for it, then do not doubt him, just go for it.

my 53yr old husband is very active.. works our regularly, runs, plays hockey, etc. he looks like he's in great shape, but has a very poor heart rate recovery.  is this cause for concern?

Signal: It's a signal that something is not as it should be. He needs a stress test if he hasn't already had one. Not only will this confirm (or refute) his true heart rate recovery quantatively, it will reveal if he has significant coronary artery disease. He also needs an echocardiogram to be sure his heart muscle is strong (or if not, that he's receiving treatment to help it).
