why do the back specialists that i go to always say things like "your back and neck are really messed up" but can't offer me any options?

May not have many: Its hard to comment without knowing what they are seeing, but there may not be a good option. Generally, back and neck pain is managed with medications such as anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers, physical therapy, injections, or surgery if it is severe enough and a good candidate.

i visited a few days back and the dr referred me to a specialist. im still in considerable pain and cant hardly get around. i have meetings i. supposed to be at but without a dr.s not excusing me for the next month or two im required to make them?

Call your Dr.: Most Dr's will write notes excusing work even if they are based on previous exams/visits. Call their office and explain that you need a note excusing you from work. They may wish to see you again to further treat the pain, or may write the note and leave it for you at the front desk to pick up.

what can i take or use for folliculitis over the counter? dont have insurance and can't afford to see a specialist.

Depends: It really depends on the cause of the folliculitis as there are many causes, both infectious and non-infectious (ie irritation from friction, shaving, etc).  Or it may not be folliculitis which is why you may need to see a derm.  But, it might be worth a try to get some otc benzoyl peroxide wash, which you can find in the acne section and try to wash the areas x 2-3 min daily.  May dry out skin.

DRE diagnosis: What are you worried about?  Consult the specialist as directed by your doctor.

Find out the diagnosis first &amp; get the options of treatment. You can refuse surgery.

Confusing post: Is the issue continuous or are you asking about the night waking? There is a sleep disorder called night terrors which emerge in the first hours of sleep. They scream &amp; struggle but do not wake easily when touched. The event ends after a few minutes. If you wake them during the event they don't know why you are there. It is not a nightmare but like sleep walking. Start with his doc.

Start w/family doc: Go see your family doc first. Poor balance may be due to simple inner ear infection. Benign positional vertigo can be easily diagnosed & treated by your family doc who's familiar w/dix hallpike and epley maneuvers. Your family doc can also check to be sure poor balance isn't a manifestation of some other condition, eg heart rhythm condition, sugar control, blood pressure, stroke, medication, etc.
