Not really: Many viral infections result in varying degrees of ocular irritation and often times even conjunctivitis or pink eye.  Usually, as the infection clears, the ocular symptoms subside.  So, the tablets you take to help with the throat don't act directly on the pink eye.

Maybe,maybe not: Can only be sure with an exam & testing.If the kid is feeding ok & not too stressed out this can wait a couple days.If things look bad & kids not drinking i would have him seen sooner.

Strep throat: Were you started on any antibiotics given the diagnosis? At any rate continue the course if you were prescribed an antibiotic, pink eye can occur with pharyngitis, either viral or bacterial, you may need eye drops added, kindly revisit your doctor for another review of your case, goodluck

Maybe: But strep rarely causes pink eye and azithromicin is not the best drug for strep with a high resistance rate.

Probably not: Most "pink eye" is due to a virus and Azithromycin will not have any effect on that.  But you should continue the medication for your throat and your eye will get better on its own.

Probably at home: Most pink eye is due to a virus and sometimes the same virus infects the nose and throat.  Antibiotics are not helpful for virus infections.  If the vision remains good and the pain is just discomfort but not severe you can wait a week for this to get better by itself with the help of your immune system.  Keep it clean and treat your strep throat if that was diagnosed by a doctor.

Could be: Referred to as matting of eyelids, this can be a sign of conjunctivitis -- which is an eye infection or inflammation.  Other conditions such as blepharitis can also cause it.

Possible: If the discharge/pus recurs after cleaning your eyes and the whites of your eyes are red, that is pink eye/conjunctivitis.Some of the cases are bacterial but many are viral; both are contagious. If it recurs, I would recommend you contact your doctor to evaluate whether antibiotic eye drops are needed.
