Spasm: The uterus can spasm anytime during the month causing this kind of pain. Also, there are pelvic muscles that can spasm as well as the bladder or rectum all of which can radiate pain to the sides of the pelvis.   If this continues, you may need a pelvic examination to see if you can isolate the cause. But, since these come and go quickly, they are hard to isolate.

Tight jeans: Make sure you are not wearing tight clothing compressing superficial nerve at waist causing this radiating sharp pain, which seems like nerve pain.

Yes, Pinched nerve: The description of the pain does fit a 'pinched lumbar nerve'. A lumbar spine MRI is the best test to check out the possiblility. You should get seen and you may get a prescription for Medrol (methylprednisolone) pack to help with the nerve inflammation.  Warning signs are bladder/bowel changes and/or severe weakness. Hope you are better soon!

MRI of neck: At this point an MRI would probably be useful.  The MRI visualizes the spinal nerves and will tell if you do have a " pinched nerve."

You : You need to have a complete medical evaluation as to the cause of your pain.  If you are having severe hip and shoulder pain, the problem could be from within the joint, such as arthritis, or it could be from radiated nerve pain from your spine.  Plain x-rays would show arthritis, but an MRI is needed to identify a bulging disc that is causing nerve pain.  Please be seen again so that you can be appropriately treated.

No vaginal nerves: There are no nerves in the vaginal lining, pretty much a pain free zone. However, pressure could be felt as pain by nerves deeper inside the pelvis; or might relieve pain coming from some deep nerves. Discuss with the doctor who did the procedure.
