SUGGEST: Let's assume you have carpal tunnel syndrome, and it is affecting the median nerve substantially.  You have about a 35% chance that wearing a wrist splint, which you can find at orthopedics supply store, will calm down the inflammation, and decrease symptoms if worn thru-out the day.  An OTC NSAID may also help a bit.

Depends: First of all, which nerve? Does it hurt or create motor problem? Ultrasound examination, MRI and EMG help to assess the magnitude of damage. Treatment may be conservative or surgical.

Need evaluation: Snowboard injuries can be simple (sprain) or complex (fracture or ruptured ligament).  Persistent pain after a fall on an outstretched hand could be a sign of a significant injury.  Be sure to see a board certified hand surgeon for a complete evaluation and to rule out serious injuries that can lead to chronic pain and visibility, such as carpal ligament rupture and scaphoid fracture.

i was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in the neck. if my arms are raised up high i don't have a pulse in the wrist or neck. what causes this?

Herniated disc: When your arms are raised the carotid artery (pulse in the neck) is more difficult to find because it rotates behind the neck muscles (sternocleidomastoid). Elevating the arms above the head makes the pulse weaker in the hands because the blood has to travel higher above the heart and this creates a larger pressure gradient. This is a normal physiologic response and not to worry.

May be normal: USUALLY PULSATION WILL BE ON BOTH WRISTS.BUT IT MAY BE NORMAL IF YOU HAVE HAD IT CHECKED BY YOUR DOCTOR.IF NOT LET HIM CHECK WHY YOU FEEL IT ONLY IN LEFT WRIST.IT IS NOT RELATED TO PINCH NERVE

Needs work up: Diagnosis of autoimmune arthritis (such as RA) includes blood work, clinical exam, and if nec. a variety of imaging. See your Dr.
 From a radiology viewpoint, there are many tools. First and foremost are plain films. Quantitative dynamic MRI may actually be good for RA prognosis as well as early response to treatment.
 There are now good biologic drugs for RA, so it is not as scary as it once was
