Chalazion: You likely have an impacted sebaceous gland.
Try soaks with warm towels and baby shampoo 2-3 times daily.

Stye?: If this little eyelid bump is on the margin or slightly inside, it may be a blocked oil gland (stye). These are generally sore to touch and may drain, which if into the eye, may cause redness, mattering &amp; blurry vision. Some result in significant eyelid swelling. Apply warm compresses 2-4 times /day followed by gently massaging the area. Most resolve in 7-10 days. If not or worse, See an Eye MD.

You haven't: mentioned what you have tried but use warm compresses until you see your doctor.  Acne is unusual on the eyelids and may be a stye or basal cell malignancy.  See your doctor this week for confirmation.

You could try: some antibiotic ointment. If it starts to get larger, you develop spreading redness, or fever, see your doctor, as you may need oral antibiotics. Hope this helps!

Oil gland problem: This could be a problem with the oil glands along the margin of the eyelids.  They can be inflammed(blepharitis) or drain poorly(meibomian gland disease).  This can cause itching, sorness, redness, and lead to chalazia(styes).  The pimple may be a stye or small abscess.  An eyecare specialist should see you, but typically hot compresses and lid cleansing(baby shampoo) can help.

my nephew (10mo) has redness around one eye, started at lower lash and now has small little pimple like lumps with redness, redness has reduced from bottom but now spread to top of the eyelid. histador was recommended, hasn't helped. any ideas?

Possible hives : Monitor for signs of infection including increased redness, pus and fever. If the problem is an allergic reaction, topical antihistamine lotion and an oral pediatric antihistamine may improve the redness. Please see your pediatrician for an evaluation.

Lid problem: Sounds like you have a condition called blepharitis which can be accompanied by lid lesions called chalazia.These are areas on the lids which are raised like a pimple but have no area that looks you could pop. If this is the case local treatment to the lids is indicated. You should see an ophthalmologist for evaluation and treatment. You can try baby shampoo lid scrubs and warm compresses prior.

Stye: Please do not attempt to pop this again. You do not want to damage your eye or your eyelid.  Warm wet compresses a few times/day to soften the abscess so it will drain on its own is a common first line for treatment. If infection ensues one does need to see the doctor.

Stye: A stye is any lump that forms in your eyelids. There are two types. A hordoleum is a blockage of a sweat gland in the lower eyelid. A chelazian is a blockage in the meibomian gland of the upper eyelid. All are treated the same. Gentle wiping/massage of the edge of the affected lid helps to remove crusts and bacteria and loosen the blockage and prevent infection. Warm compresses help to drain them.
