Fungus or eczema: You could have fungus of the feet, which looks like scaling on the bottom of the feet or scaling between the toes.  If the itching is on top of the foot, it may be eczema.  Try otc lotrimin (clotrimazole) cream for fungus.  If that doesn't work, see a podiatric physician.

Topical medication: Treatment requires a prescription, typically of a topical medication such as: permethrins, crotamiton, or lindane . As second line therapy Ivermectin is effective but is "off label" ( ie. Not an fda approved indication). Possibly: Scabies in and of itself is a fairly easily treatable infection, however, in HIV + population, especially those who have aids, the immune system may be seriously compromised to fight the mite and the infection that is setting in due to the inflammation it is producing. This all may lead to complicated cases of skin infection and even generalization of such with unpredictable outcomes.

Scabicide &amp; dry: Scabies treatments often contain a high percentage of alcohol which can be very drying to the skin.  All of the little bumps are remnants of where the mite lived in  skin.  Hypoallergenic soaps/lotions which are pH balanced will help the skin recover more quickly, and reduce the itching that can last up to two weeks after treatment.  Evaluation with a skin scraping can determine treatment success.

Unlikely: Topical permethrin has a theoretical risk but no definitive studies link it to cancer. The US FDA has determined that it could cause cancer if EATEN, based on what we know about similar chemicals. http://npic.orst.edu/factsheets/PermGen.html#cancer As with all chemicals of unknown cancer potential, limit exposure.

i was  hoping to get a prescription for  otezla  plaque psoriasis  to help my skin get back to normal after the scabies infestation  i had it would be so nice to have smooth skin again , i  also need something to  help nails, eyelashes and hair grow?
