Possibly: Cervical stenosis refers to narrowing of the central spinal canal or neural foramina where the nerves exit and is usually due to a combination of degenerative discs, arthritic changes and sometimes a congenitally small canal. In milder cases, therapy, medication, traction and sometimes injections can be helpful. In more severe stenosis surgical decompression may be needed. Eval is needed to decide.

Cervical stenosis : Intermittent cervical traction may be helpful for cervical disc syndromes. Other physical therapies will not reduce the size of the cervical disc but may be very helpful.  In general, time alone can reduce the size of disc displacements. The answer to your question is considering your physical examination and symptoms- and not focusing on the MRI findings alone.  MRIs don't equal outcomes.

Cervical spine pain: Each case is different. See orthopedic spine doctor or pain management. Consider postural changes, sleep changes with different pillows/positions, gentle massage, yoga, meditation, modalities/laser therapy, acupuncture.

Tight spinal canal: See a spine surgeon to determine if you have any symptoms spinal cord compression resulting in myelopathy, If you have, then decompression should stop the progression.

Spinal stenosis: Physical therapy with neck strengthening would likely be of value. Other modalities which may be of help would  be magnetic therapy or you may want to consider therapy with a biomodulator.

is weight training safe with moderate to severe cervical stenosis with 3 herniated discs or will it make it worse? 54 yrs old have worked out with weights my entire adult life. i don't want to stop unless i have too. thanks.

Best: To answer your question would be the doc that is following your changes and based on actual details. Otherwise, weight training would not be recommended if having 3 herniated discs as it can worsen your condition. A physical therapist may help in better designing workouts that will not worsen preexisting conditions.

had a mri without contrast. hemangionoma at t 2. could that be missed as cancer? i have pain there everyday. but i also have cervical stenosis.

Unlikely cancer: Hemangioma may have characteristic MRI appearance even without contrasr.
