Phlegm: Vomiting after eating is not usual and I would say you should have this looked into first - need to know why you are having phlegm to cure it. Do you have troubles swallowing liquid or solids? Is it with all kinds of food? You might need a referral to a gastroenterologist.

Not sure: Causes may reflect dry food and insufficient water intake with meals (sip water between bites) or food allergies (see an allergy specialist and write down which foods cause this) or seasoning which causes nasal secretions/drainage. If you are a smoker, lung secretions can become trapped and eating may cause some movement.

Elimination diet: "Gluten enteropathy" or "celiac sprue" is an autoimmune response to gluten which causes delayed intestinal problems. Wheat ALLERGY, on the other hand, can cause  immediate symptoms like mucus and phlegm. Eliminate wheat, barley, oats and rye from your diet for a while. Lots of options!: There are countless healthier options then cereal in the morning.  First, any food can be eaten at any time of the day BUT if you are looking for something more "traditionally" breakfast food consider - fruit, toast, eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, whole grain waffle with fruit spread, etc. You may also want to try almond milk instead of cow's milk.  Have fun with variety :)

Abnormal: Aspiration, esophago tracheal fistula. 
Sedation, drugs, hiatal hernia / stricture , reflux.

Phelgm in throat: Your symptoms are suggestive of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (gerd). Speak to your physician (p) about it. If you have no physician, consider taking prilosec, 20 mg daily. If that does not help, see a p for a diagnosis and treatment plan. Good luck.

Possible gerd: Your symptoms could be from acid reflux or gallbladder issues. Are you having any pain in your right upper quadrant of your abdomen? If so it is likely related to gallbladder etiology. Recommend low fat diet and follow up with your physician if it continues.
