Safe: Use d3 as it is better absorbed and safer than d2. I routinely dose 5000 iu daily. Just recheck vit d levels in 2-3 months and adjust intake accordingly. Aim for serum level close to 60.

i had serum immunofixation.  scared.no monoclonol proteins. but read'"faint igg. lambda. cannot be excluded?

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your results suggest a low level of a monoclonal protein. Such findings are not uncommon in people over 50. Do follow your doctor's advise about follow up testing. Yes: The antibody testing for Herpes simplex is usually accurate, but distinguishing between Types 1 &amp; 2 may be problematic depending upon the test employed.  Herpes can produce ocular infection and if you have these symptoms you should be seen by an ophthalmologist immediately, before your vision may be permanently affected.

No: Homeopathic remedies are prepared in very minute quantities. BJP: Bence Jones proteins, light chain,  occur in  multiple  myeloma , lymphomas/chronic leukemias,  monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance which can  go on to myeloma at the rate of only 1%/yr -small risk),amylodosis,cryoglobunemia, Autoimmune disease can give false positive. Check IFE  &amp; bone marrow

Parathyroid: you have secondary hyperparathyroidism. see your primary care or endo to get this treated.  see gi if you suspect celiac disease as the cause for the low vitamin d.

if complement c3, ch50, serum protein electrophoresis, and immunofixation suggest severe infection, why is cbc normal? i've never had blood culture.

Lab data: Without placing values in a clinical context with full history, exam and all data it is pointless to speculate.  You need to be evaluated by a physician and if the one you are seeing cannot provide answers, get a second opinion.  Try seeing an infectious diseases expert.
