Throat problems: Your problems sound as if you need to see a ENT physician. You need to have your throat, lower esophagus, vocal cords and sinuses evaluated to see if a cause for your symptoms can be found and treated. Good luck.

Depends...: Smokers, Asthmatics.......have to be treated differently. Without those hx or occupational exposure to dust/fumes....you should take a course of antibiotic like Augmentin, (amoxicillin and clavulanate) Guafenasin, Antihistamin...like Loratadine, Inhaler.....albuterol inhaler 2 puffs 3-4 times a day as needed. Change your tooth brush today. Drink some orange juice ( Vit C ), chicken noodle soup.......... will be better in 24hrs

Depends how long you: Have been coughing, and 6 weeks is a long time to be coughing. You may be experiencing food allergies, if it's always after eating, and not due to gerd, or pnd. You could have a sinusitis that needs to be treated before it gets worse, or you may be reacting to environmental allergens inhaled. So, go to your doctor, and have her/him check you out, and get your diagnosis soon.

Depends: If symptoms have lasted less than 7days, use Ibuprofen 400 3 times a day for 3days, then as needed. Take 2 showers a day, as warm as you can tolerate, run the water right on your face to heat and and humidify the mucous, so you can cough it up and blow your nose more easily, then put mentholatum right under your nostrils. The eucalyptus in mentholatum works. If symptoms worse and > 10d, see doc.

Bronchitis?: This may be bronchitis, but since it has lasted so long you need to be checked to see if you have something more serious, like pneumonia or tuberculosis. See a doctor about this.  Good luck!

2 weeks, +/- a week: A doctor can evaluate, if more than 2 weeks, or if worried. Cough medicines are for decreasing the urge to cough, due to tickling, mucus, or mild irritation in the throat. Coughing is normal when there is mucus lower in the throat, or coming from the lungs (otherwise, mucus might stay down there). Menthol lozenges +/- anesthetic in the lozenge can help. Robitussin DM (guaifenesin and dextromethorphan) +/- "cold medicines" can help.

Helps stuffy nose: Give the doctor's recommendations a try. It is often preferable in young infants to use saline drops and sprays to help remove mucous and relieve congestion from tiny noses. If the symptoms continue give the doctor a call.
