Cullen's sign: Classically bruising of the subcutaneous tissue around the umbilicus is a sign of hemorrhagic pancreatitis.  It can also be a sign of other bleeding into the abdomen. If you are ill (especially very ill) and you have this, go to an emergency room.

Very Late sign: Since the abdominal aorta is in the retroperitoneum, bleeding most often occurs into the space near the kidneys. Early symptoms are abdominal, back or flank pain. It is more common to have bruising of the flanks (grey turner's sign). It is possible for the blood to track all the way up to the umbilicus, but this would be a pretty late sign. Hopefully you would be in the or by then!

: Mostly yes. But depends on size etc and the decision by the surgeon.  Driving can start after 24-48 hre.

Opening in muscle : You may have a weakness where your umbilical cord went thru. Or it can be from a surgery that left a weakness there.

Retractors: It is common to have numbness and pain at the site of your incision.  If your incision is not near your umbilicus, then i would blame the retractor (a surgical instrument used to hold open the incision).  The pain should resolve as you recover, the numbness may or may not.

Possible: You sound like you have an umbilical hernia.  That can get incarcerated.  If pain persists get checked

Could be many things: Abdominal pain around the umbilicus can be a sign of appendicitis too. Also could consider an enteritis or colitis as well. 
Seek a medical evaluation to further differentiate
