Not likely: If at 7 days after a 'missed' period, hpt was negative, you are not likely to pregnant. If is possible that you had spontaneous loss of an early pregnancy. About 25% of early pregnancies are lost, mostly due to chromosomal defects in the embryo.

Why: No fallopian tubes mean you should not be pregnant.  Other things that can cause you to be late are things that can mess up your hormone levels.  Medicines ( or changes to them ), or any type of stress - physical, emotional, etc can all fit into  this category.

: Has this occurred before? Did you have unprotected sex? Only you know your past history. See your OBGYN doctor for consult and possible exam.  Are you under any stress or anxiety? All these factors could be the cause of lateness.

See a gyn: The combination of lactating & irregular cycles could be a sign of a growth called a pituitary adenoma. This can be screened for by measuring the level of a hormone called prolactin in the blood. If it is elevated then either a MRI or ct scan of the pituitary gland will diagnose the condition. It is treatable with medication.

It : It is true that a missed or light period could indicate pregnancy.

As doctors, the first thing we do when we hear a woman is having a light or missed period or abnormal spotting, we check a pregnancy test. You can either take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period.  A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come.

There are other reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a woman to miss a period such as: stress, illness, diet, excessive exercise or a hormone imbalance such as with a thyroid disorder or poly cystic ovarian syndrome. If your pregnancy test is negative and you continue to not have your period, you should contact your doctor.
