It is actually: too early to really know about the health effects of vaping in terms of lung pathology..(the effects of long term nicotine intake ARE known!) Peribronchial "cuffing" is a sign of bronchial IRRITATION and I would "guess" that it could very well be due to the inhalant "base" which forms the vapor itself!

The mass is probably impinging on the airway and causing areas of collapse, called atelectasis. This area is prone to secondary infection
