hi, i had perianal abscess surgery 2 month ago and now i feel pain and see blood in my anus and there is a small holl around it, 1 month ago my doctor told me you are completely out of fistula! and now i see this iam very worried about it what is it?

i had perianal abscess surgery 2 month ago i felt alright and set but yesterday i had constipation and now i feel pain at the same place where my abscess was. is it back? or fistula? my doctor said you are completly out of fistula?

:  It might be just local irritation. Try sitz baths 3 times a day and after bowel movement for a few days and take an OTC stool softener and avoid constipation. if it does not resolve you need to be seen again

hi i had my perianal abscess surgery 2 month ago and yesterday i went through mri scan for fistula , and the result says i have sinus tract between interal and external and it is 8 cm, is it fistula? i can't visit my doctor util saturday?

: A "sinus tract" and a fistula are synonymous with respect to the MRI results reported after "perianal abscess" surgery.  Consult your surgeon who performed the surgery for guidance.

hi, i had my perianal abscess surgery and after that i went through mri turn out i have complex perianal sinus tract 8cm, is it the same with fistula? is laser good treatment for my sinus tract? and will it just like fistula keep coming back?

: "Perianal sinus tract" and "fistula" are synonymous, and are difficult to treat surgically, with poor healing usually the cause given the location.  Best is to see a colorectal surgeon for his/her treatment options.

after getting a perianal abscess drained out there is itching in the anus while passing stool. is it a fistula? my doc said for check up after a month

Possible: If there is not ongoing drainage from the incision site, then it is possible. If drainage continues, may be from that. Either way, hard to check on your own (!) so better to call dr & get sooner re-check due to concerning symptoms.

perianal abscess was i&d by colorectal surgeon w/ local on dec 30. that doc wants exam under anesthesia to check for fistula this fri. 2nd opinion doc said to wait that its too soon & might not be necessary. pain feels more like pressure.what to do?

Your surgeon: Nobody has a better view at this point, but your surgeon. Follow up with him or her as scheduled, specifically with persisting symptoms.

i have a perianal abscess approx 1cm wide at its best and 3cm wide on bad days,iv had it 6months, bleeds every few days & heal over but lump never goes away doesnt hurt just itches should i be concerned about something more sinister why wont it go?

Abscess treatment: Once an abscess drains it should begin to heal and ultimately leave little residual.
Based on your description, you should seek consultation with a surgeon to have it evaluated and treated.

Perianal abscess: Warm tub soaks and see a colorectal surgeon as soon as possible. It is possible that nothing else will be needed. However, 50% of abscesses recur and or persist as a draining sinus a s a result of the presence of an anal fistula. A short course of antibiotis may also be needed now in  addition to the spontaneous drainage.

Not recommended: The abscess is cause by a connection of the inside of your rectum and the surrounding fatty tissue, very common condition.  The rule is to treat the abscess with surgery and when the infection is gone, then investigate the source and get rid of that connection (fistula).

Drainage: Antibiotics have a limited role in treating abscesses.  There is no blood flow into an abscess, so antibiotics aren't as effective on their own.  In general, the primary treatment for an abscess is drainage.  Additionally, perianal abscesses warrant further evaluation because they can be due to perirectal fistulas.
