Unlikely: Depends upon what you call overdose.  If you ingest too much, you will probably get sick to your stomach and throw up the excess.  There is no generally acceptable lethal dose of penicillin.  Most prescriptions do not contain enough peniciliin to even make you sick.

OK: Thankfully, if you took 3 penicillin you don't need to go to the ER or call poison control.  Depending on the strength of penicillin, sometimes it is dosed to take 4 times a day (not all at once), but if you accidentally took them all at once you still won't "overdose" - might get a stomach ache or diarrhea, but no OD. Still, always take your meds as prescribed!!!

Little if any harm: Penicillin is one of the most nontoxic drugs that exists. It is almost impossible to take enough to cause serious harm. Your friend probably will have some abdominal cramping and may diarrhea for a day or two. That's all.

Varies: Some reactions are mild, such as hives alone. Others are more serious, with breathing problems and blood pressure drop. Some reactions (like some kinds of rashes) are not actually allergies, but different reactions that may or may not recur when you take the medicine. While it may be easier to just avoid penicillin, if it's important, you can find out if you have a "true" allergy by testing.
