Third TM pregnancy: Cramps in the "third trimester" of pregnancy should be evaluated by your OB physician, as potential early labor, or a pelvic infection may cause the cramping.

i'm 38 weeks pregnant. went to doc on thursday and was 2-3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. bad lower pain, pelvic pain &irreg contractions should i go in?

Pain from pregnancy: The hormones of pregnancy cause the ligaments in back to relax and stretch with may lead to current back pain and sometimes future chronic lower back pain. The pregnant uterus, also known as the gravid uterus, also puts pressure on the back and pelvic area which can cause the current pelvic and  lowe back pain.

Pregnancy: is extremely uncomfortable during the latter weeks.  There are a few things you can do to ripen the cervix and induce labor.  Intercourse is particularly effective. Some also respond well to walking.

Pregnancy: It's normal to have increased vaginal discharge during pregnancy because of hormonal changes. However if the discharge has an unusual smell, new consistency (liquidy, extremely thick, etc.) or has any blood you need to go in for an evaluation. Also It's normal at 38 wks to have contractions and fatigue as your body prepares for labor. If you have any pain with urination, you should get examined.

Go to the Hospital..: At 37 weeks, Pelvic pain is assumed to be labor until proven otherwise.  If you are having pain, you should go to your hospital's triage area and let them examine and monitor you to make sure you aren't in labor.  If you are bleeding this is quite urgent as some causes are serious.  Best wishes!

Pelvic Pain 34: Weeks could mean lots of things.  If you are not having a new discharge then it likely isn't an infection.  It could be the baby pressing down on your pelvis.  It could be your pelvis starting to change to get ready for the baby to be born.  You could be having some swelling in your pelvis as baby pushes on the blood vessels.  Best to check with your OB.
