Enjoy the answer !: The answer depends on how many you eat. You should keep a stool diary. Vary the number of peanuts eaten and record the stools. In order to avoid bias you should have someone else record the stool caliber/consistency: you just eat the peanuts. After about a month you should have a good idea. Of course every other aspect of your daily routine and diet and exercise etc must remain fixed for the month.

: The stool color is provided by the bile from the liver that is adds to fecal debris. It starts out a deep green &amp; slowly changes thru greens to yellows to browns as the germs in the intestines metabolize the bile. Yellow generally means the stool in question moved through faster or was subject to less change by gut germs.

IBS: You may have irritable bowel syndrome if your change in stools is associated with cramping, bloating and frequent stools among other symptoms.  A gastroenterologist can diagnose and offer treatment options.

i take 5 mg enaril daily and 2.5 mg concor daily.  since i started taking them my stools are the consistency of peanut butter. which one is doing it?

Peanut butter: Hard to be sure. Take enaril daily for a week and then go to concor daily for week two. If that helps keep doing it. If not, please discuss this with your doctor.

: It may be a result of problems digesting your food. I have seen this in long-term alcoholics, celiac disease, gall bladder problems. See your doctor

No: drinking water does not cause loose stools.  You may be starting a viral gastroenteritis.

Yes: It is certainly possible to have lighter stools with lighter foods such as the ones mentioned also the opposite is true with eating red meat and heavy dark foods like wine or chocolate for example.

Sounds normal: Sounds ok to me. Breast fed babies have that mustardy grainy stool but it can change to greenish etc. easily. If it goes longer than 5 days you may want to try to stimulate her to have a bowel movement. Does she seem to be in pain?

: Color of stool can change with your diet or medication in the previous day. Peanut butter color is not considered an abnormal stool color.
