Love Them: If you don't have any major medical problems, or you have been told by your doc that it's ok for you to start this kind of diet, i believe they work great. The medical community is starting to realize that our belief that carbs are an essential part of our diets is not entirely correct. I have personally lost 40 lbs on this type of diet, and feel great. Blood sugar and cholesterol have improved.

Couple thoughts: While it is hard to eat grassfed, pastured, organic etc on the road we can an least attempt to eat "NSNG" (no sugar no grains) and will benefit immensely from this alone.  Then I know Chipotle prides itself on using organic products and there are websites and apps out there devoted to finding paleo options on the road.  Good luck!

Not necessarily : Paracetamol can be given for pain and discomfort but routine use is discouraged as some theoretical concerns it may blunt the response to the vaccine.   So isn't necessary but isn't the end of the world if a dose or 2 is given if uncomfortable/in pain.

Yes: There are a lot of great sites on this topic but Mark's Daily Apple has some great articles and the recipes are really great as well. If you want a book recommendation I would recommend Gary Taubes "Why We Get Fat" first for a great foundation. Other great reads would be Grain Brain, Wheat Belly, Primal Blueprint, Deep Nutrition. Also watch Dr. Robert Lustig's Sugar: The Bitter Truth on youtube.

Relax: For your age this pulse is normal. Danger zone is lower than 40 although some olympic athletes have heart rates in the 30s.

A heart rate between 40-60 is usually seen in people who exercise - good for you.

Therefore the normal range is 40-90. The 60-100 range is medical history and should be in the museum.

Perfectly normal: Your heart responds to need. When you lie down and rest, you're idling (like a car's engine) and you don't need much oxygen and blood, so your heart "powers down" (like the space station).
