Not necessarily : Paracetamol can be given for pain and discomfort but routine use is discouraged as some theoretical concerns it may blunt the response to the vaccine. So isn't necessary but isn't the end of the world if a dose or 2 is given if uncomfortable/in pain.

There is some evidence that paracetamol may reduce the effectiveness of vaccination
