Bacterial Spread: One theory suggests poor oral hygiene leads to more bacterial growth in the mouth which can enter our bloodstream through the gums. These bacteria can then deposit in blood vessels and cause hardening of the arteries, clots, and damage from our body's own immune response to bacteria in the blood (inflammation, etc.).

can insects go into your mouth and body parts that have holes while you are sleeping?

: The probability of that is so low that unless you have symptoms, try not to think about it.  If you have similar thoughts and they are interfering w/your peace or sleep please consider seeing a clinical psychologist who can help you manage anxiety if needed.  Peace and good health.

Seborrhoeic dermatit: Seborrhoeic dermatitis which presents the way you are describing.  Anti fungal and cortisone cream can treat.

Tonsil stones: At the back of the throat are structures called tonsils. They may look like pink golf balls, but are more like a head of cauliflower with crypts that can trap bits of food, debris and bacteria. On occasion, calcifications ("tartar" like on teeth) or infections can develop in these crypts. All infections smell bad. Gargling with salt water or listerine may help, but sometimes you need to see a doc.

i have only heard of herpes on the genitals or the mouth. can it appear on other parts of the body, even the chest area?

Yes: Herpes can occur in any area of the body.  It is usually passed through the skin or mucosal surfaces of the body and will cause a vesicular eruption on an erythematous base at the site of inoculation.

i noticed parts around my mouth got swollen and kinda hurt. only thing i ate was brazil nuts. is it a possible allergic reaction that i had?

Possible but: In the absence of itching, allergy is less likely.  If you must eat brazil nut again in the future, consider consulting an allergist who can confirm or disprove this link for you.

IDK: I don't know what it is without clinically examining you. Most likely a traumatic ulcer or canker sore. Could be lots of other things as well. Either see a dentist now for a definitive diagnosis and recommendations or wait to see if it goes away. Regardless, any lesion lasting more than two weeks needs to be evaluated for more serious conditions!

i have pain in my mouth. on left side on far back, where jaw connects two parts of upper and lower back teeth. when opnened i don't see anything.

Pain: Pain could be from wisdom teeth, jaw joint dysfunction, infection, and so many other reasons.  It's very difficult to see into your own mouth, and self diagnosis without formal training is at best worthless.  Please see,an expert, someone who can properly examine you and arrive at a knowledgeable diagnosis.

dental: do many older adults actually wear removable partial dentures (attached to natural teeth) on both the upper and lower parts of the mouth?

Accepted Answer

Yes/no: Yes/No but the trend is changing rapidly as people are keeping their teeth longer and taking better care of them due to having dental insurance, greater technologies and more progressive preventive treatments to preserve natural teeth.  Also with dental implants in the mix there may be no need for a removable partial when you could have something fixed.  No worries.

found a tick attached to my back 4 wks ago. husband removed it but wasn't sure if he got all the mouth parts, so he used a disinfected needle to clean it out. there's still a hard raised bump where the tick was & it's very itchy. no other symptoms?

: If you have any of these symptoms such as chills  ,fever, head ache, fatigue and joint pains, than see your doctor. These usually develop within 30 days, since none, see your doctor for an exam as a precaution.
