Not always: You may not even have abnormally-colored urine in the mornings. Or you may develop anemia or have deep vein thrombi and their complications. If you have pnh, this is a management problem for you with your hematologist, and you'll do best to learn as much as you can about it.

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency has been implicated in its aetiology. Haemoglobinuria may be associated with severe anaemia and, less frequently, acute renal failure." Differences: Myoglobinuira (m) is the result of the muscle break down, due to trauma, where myglobin in the muscle is found in the urine.  Hemoglobinuria is a condition in which hemoglobin is found in abnormally high concentrations in the urine. The condition is often associated with hemolytic anemia. Excess hemoglobin is filtered by the kidneys, which excrete it into the urine.

Headache: Are you seeing a headache specialist or neurologist? If not,get a consultation at a headache clinic and appropriate tests will be done in order to make a diagnosis and get you proper treatment.

if paroxysmal afib is reasonably controlled with medications such as flecainide and carvedilol, would an alblation still be recommended in a person with an otherwise healthy heart?

: In general, rate-control is roughly equivalent to ablation of Atrial Fibrillation if one is free of symptoms.  However, the decision should be individualized taking into consideration the underlying cause of A Fib as well as the patient's preference once informed of all related issues.

i have paroxysmal a fib and i am 70 years old, i only have short episodes 4 hours once in 2 weeks average .do i need to take rate control drugs?

Probably: Rate control drugs are often prescribed for atrial fibrillation.  If it is recurrent and/or lasts &gt;24 hours you may need blood thinners as well.  Discuss with your md.

when i sleep on my back (&only then) i awaken gasping for air for a few seconds only. doc doesn't think sleep apnea. is this consistent with nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea despite the fact that i regain my breath so quickly & it only occurs on my back?

Apnea: Have you had a sleep study?  If there is concern for sleep apnea this test should be performed.

Waking up breathless: PND is a specific symptom complex indicative of very bad illness, not all nocturnal breathlessness is PND ;this has to be evaluated promptly as to cause.
