Usually, conditions regarding reproduction (normal teen sexual issues) are private, as well as substance abuse (smoking, marijuana, alcohol), and mental health issues such as depression. The child can choose to involve the parents.

This is important : It is important to go to appointments with elderly parents.  Many times elderly parents do not communicate well with doctors. They may not tell the doctor everything that is going on.  They are of the generation that does not ask questions.  Many of their problems are complicated and elderly parents don't understand, or don't tell their families what is going on.  If you can't go then call doctor.

Not necessarily: Hopefully this has been decided  by your parents before it is necessary . That is what a will is for. Parents usually choose the child who they feel should be in charge and that may or may not be the oldest. Being firstborn doesn't rest that responsibility on one just by virtue of birth order...Unless you are an only child.

Medical supplies: If you have well-working equipment you can probably donate it to a "free clinic" (always desperate for supplies) or other health facility (and get a tax deduction). If the supplies are unopened or sterile, you can also donate them. Left over medicines should be disposed of properly; you can usually turn them into your pharmacy for proper disposal.
