Chemotherapy: Used for many malignancies, such as lung, ovary, breast, bladder.  Side effects include nausea, hair loss, numbness and tingling of fingers and toes, low blood counts-white cells, red cells and platelets. Hope this helps.

Unknown: The side effects of these herbal remedies have not been formally studied in combination with carboplatin. For this reason, i tell my patients not to take these products while receiving chemotherapy. Not much: Oncologists routinely give several anti-nausea medicines with cisplatin and irradiation. Some of those Meds make a person drowsy. You will get much fluid by vein; expect to urinate a lot. Some fatigue is common. If doctor prescribes anti--emetics, take them TO PREVENT nausea and vomiting.

Yes: Allergic reactions to Carboplatin have been described and can be severe. Skin testing can be used to confirm sensitivity, and there are desensitzation protocols that enable allergic patients to receive this medication.

Depends : What you get from any chemotherapy depends greatly on the type of cancer and the stage, so your question cannot be answered. My advise is that you discuss the benefit vs. Side effects of any therapy with your doc before you agree to get it.  It is your right and also your responsibility as patient.
