Any side effects of carboplatin use with maitake, ginger or ecgg?

Unknown: The side effects of these herbal remedies have not been formally studied in combination with carboplatin. For this reason, i tell my patients not to take these products while receiving chemotherapy. Even though the maitake and ginger have been used for thousands of years, it is not clear that they actually help in the treatment of patients with cancer.
