Theoretical: The theory is that tight and unyielding clothing impairs the bowel function and causes abdominal pain.  According to a dr. Octavia bessa of stamford, ct, posits that it is due to men not buying their own clothes, but fitting into the clothes that their wife/girlfriend buy for them, and they may not be the correct size.  Hard to say if it is real or imaginary, but wear properly fitting clothes.

: I would not focus on this issue until he is well into the 10 and up age group. The testis are resting under 10 or so and make minimal testosterone needed for normal pre-pubertal development. Even in their teens the tighty-whitey shorts are well tolerated by most. Adults concerned about maximizing sperm quality can be loose and feel good about it.

Cause=No: If you are constipated, the colon is loaded with stool, but due to its elastic nature, it has accommodated to the stretching of it already. Increasing abdominal pressure with constricting pants pushes its elasticity over the edge and now it will cause pain from the increased stretch on the wall of the colon-hopefully prompting you to take measures to evacuate it!

I would check this: out.You could have a slow hemorrhage or rupture causing inflammation and pain deep in the abdominal cavity.C ur doc,get an exam,and some imaging studies.
