Accepted Answer

No.: Occasional small lumps that come and go are common.  Not large lumps. And certainly not lumps that are progressively enlarging.   See your doc to figure out how big they really are and whether they need monitoring.

are there any kind of palpable lumps that cannot be picked up on ultrasound? specifically in the upper axillary areas?

Palpable lump/Axilla: Lumps in the axilla which are palpable should be easily picked up on imaging studies like Ultrasound and CT scans.
If ultrasound does not pick up a lump, then a CT scan of the Chest should be done and the axillary lump/s should be easily picked up, if it is present. In this regard CT scan is a more reliable test and can 100% confirm if the lump is real or or not.

i have lump on the back of my neck near the spine it is somewhat mobile and not very hard , also it is about a centimeter  long. it  doesn't hurt.

Lymph node: There are lymph nodes in the neck . They are part of the lymphatic system of the head, neck and scalp. They can become enlarges with viral illnesses or something as common as dermatitis of the scalp. Another benign possibility include sebacous cyst . See a doctor for further evaluation.

lump on my lower left rib cage, roughly 2 x 1.25 inches, bit soft, movable, painless, only visible and palpable when i stretch upward. help please?

Lipoma: A lipoma is a slow-growing, fatty lump that's most often situated between your skin and the underlying muscle layer. Often a lipoma is easy to identify because it moves readily with slight finger pressure. It's doughy to touch and usually not tender. You may have more than one lipoma. Lipomas can occur at any age, but they're most often detected during middle age.A lipoma isn't cancer.

after losing 45 lbs, i have tiny lumps under skin of my abdomen. they are fairly mobile, small, and there are dozens. are they accumulations of fat?

Possibly: These could be fat nodules or cysts. However it could be something else. Please see a dermatologist to have these evaluated.

Lipoma: A focal deposition of fat (lipoma) often does this. If your doctor thinks this is consistent with your physical exam then nothing more is required (benign diagnosis).

Accepted Answer

Lump in abdomen: It's hard to tell what it could be. I would watch for any symptoms: enlarging size, pain, nausea/vomiting, chances in stool (either constipation or diarrhea). It wouldn't be a bad idea to see your doc and get it evaluated.

Keep an eye: Keep an eye on this lump. If it begans to enlarge over time, your doctor may refer you to a surgeon for removal and analysis under a microscope. However, as long as it doesn't bother you, undergoing an operation is likely to do more harm than good. Hang in there!!

Lump: The question is do you know what a cyst feels like?  If two doctors have examined you and said it is a cyst, what happens when you go to the third and he says it is a cyst?  Do you then go to the fourth?  You either need at some point to believe them or not. If you don't believe them then do you keep going to doctors until you find one that tells you what you want? Get it removed!

i am 30. got this small lump inside my left armpit. feels soft n mobile. slightly painful at times. its been a month. no other injuries or illnesses. ?

Lump in axilla: The swelling I your armpit represents a swollen lymph gland which ca result from a low-grade infection in the arm pit . All it takes is excoriation of the ski for the lymph node to react
