Ibuprofen 600mg: Ibuprofen 600mg every 4-6 hr.  Don't take it if you are pregnant or have kidney problem.  See your dentist right the way!

Pain: For teething childrens Motrin and follow the directions exactly! for decay the best thing is to see the dentist  and get the cause of the pain treated before any damage occurs to other teeth or  unerupted teeth.

so i had a toothache bothering me for a few days, so i decided to take some painkillers, an i didnt know you couldnt mix them with other painkiller meds. so i would take about 4 a day. counted up to 13 an i just want to make sure ill be okay?

Options: Options include topical anesthetics you might find at pharmacy, but in the end you may need trip to urgent care facility to get pain meds to hold you over until tomorrow.  Unless you have a primary doctor that can call in pain meds for you.

Pain management: If you are still having pain 3 months after the fracture, you should first make sure with your doctor that your bones are healing as expected. Long term pain is not well treated with narcotic pain medicines, but there are many good pain management methods available - including chronic pain prophyiaxis, tens units, certain kinds of exercise, and more. Suggest you discuss option with your doctor.

i am 36 weeks pregnant and have terrible toothache.. i am in agony.. i know i cannot take strong life painkillers due to my pregnancy but what else can i do to ease the pain? i took stilpane tablets but they do not work..

Need to see dentist : Consult dentist ASAP. Recommend acetaminophen for pain, and also needs antibiotic pencillin for possible root canal  infection

i was prescribed clindamycin (mip600 capsule) before root canal treatment. with massive toothache can i combine with painkillers and alcohol ?

Bad Idea: Ok to take the painkillers - take with at least 700ml water or other non-alcoholic beverage. Skip the alcohol or you might vomit and lose the effect of the meds. Be wise and give it a day or 2 before the alcohol. The root canal is the only thing which is going to solve the problem. Follow the post-op instructions. Best of luck.

Large abscess: I have seen a case like this from 2months ago. The tooth that needs treatment is probably a lower molar with a large abscess. Sometimes the abscess can be large enough to begin to injure a nerve that runs inside your jawbone, giving you some numbness. Keep your appointment or get treated ASAP !!

Best painkiller?: There is no one "best" pain killer for anything. It depends upon the cause of the pain, your own pain threshold and individual variance. Different ones work differently for different folks. The best pain killer is your dentist who can fix the problem.
