Baking soda: Make a paste out of baking soda and water and apply to the bites. Other options are Benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream or calamine lotion.

No: A bug bite is usually ok if it looks like a typical small (1/4 to 1 inch wide) mosquito or flea bite.  If there is a lot of swelling, a doctor should check to see if it is just an allergic reaction or is actually infected.  If the bite area has stuff oozing out of it, or if the area is painful, one should see a doctor to examine for infection. Mosquito bites are usually not that painful.

Calamine Lotion: Try that along with some OTC Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to help with the itching.  If not improving see ur doctor to make sure it's not infected do you may need antibiotics...

Normal: Mosquito bites expose you to foreign proteins that your body can react to (like an allergy).  Protect yourself with long sleeved loose clothing in the evening hours when bug bites typically occur.  Topical Benadryl (diphenhydramine) gel can help the itch and swelling.

Bite: Start with the following ideas. Store aloe vera gel in the refrigerator and apply to affected area.  Rub a basil leaf on the bite. It repels mosquitoes & has  anti-inflammatory properties effect. If it itches use benadryl. Nsaid or tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain. Unfortunately, i don't really have an idea about how big it is. If it is getting worse &  you are concerned - then please seek medical care.

See a doc!: Sometimes mosquito bite can become infected, and this may be what is going on in your case.  See a doctor to get antibiotics if you have an infection. Where mosquito repellant on exposed skin!

Relax: Mosquito bites are red and itchy. Hydrocortisone cream will help. More potent, prescription steroid creams are more effective. You can also rub with a wet (not coated!) aspirin. Antihistamine may help: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a sleeping pill. Claratin, Allegra, Zyrtec are preferred with little or no sedation. Generics are equivalent and cheaper.
