Relax: Mosquito bites are red and itchy. Hydrocortisone cream will help. More potent, prescription steroid creams are more effective. You can also rub with a wet (not coated!) aspirin. Antihistamine may help: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a sleeping pill. Claratin, Allegra, Zyrtec are preferred with little or no sedation. Generics are equivalent and cheaper.
