Dysmenorrhea: Dysmenorrhea (or painful periods) is a medical condition of pain during menstruation that interferes with daily activities.  This is a common occurrence in many women.  Discuss with your dr. As there are several medications that are approved to help with this condition and can make your life more tolerable at the beginning of your period.  Best wishes.

Ablation: If the biopsy of the endometrium (uterine lining) does not show cancer or precancerous, you can try an endometrial ablation.

PCOS: Pcos can cause increased hair growth and irregular periods you could have nausea at mid cycle occasionally but nausea could be due to metformin  reduced doses extended release forms or taking after meals should help you are 16 work on a good life style exercise low fat diet should help.

Progesterone!: Try having your doctor write for Progesterone 100-200mg at night for the last 14 days of your cycle. Start day 15. Remember, have her write for Progesterone not progestin. She can write for name brand prometrium (micronized progesterone).  Exercising regularly may also help. Good luck!

Check up first: First step is to see a doctor to know why the periods are so painful to better know which treatments will help. Treatment options include birth control pills, Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, endometrial ablation, lupron, Depo-Provera provera, laparoscopy, anti prostaglandins (such as Ibuprofen ) or hysterectomy. Work with a doctor to figure out which options are best.

Can get treatment: Birth control pills (contain hormones) can be used to help other conditions besides birth control. The pills can help women with acne, frequent periods, heavy periods, painful periods, etc...  If a woman wants medication for menstrual cramps, a primary care doctor or Ob-Gyn doctor can help, after an evaluation to be sure nothing unusual is happening in the body. "Terrible pain" should be treated.

Yes !!!: See you gyn, you need a work up and if you want to preserve your fertility there are meds you can take, if you do not want to have any more children then for my pts I do office tubals and then you can have an endometrial ablation- which is a short 8 minute offfice procedure to either totally get rid of periods which are worthless after child bearing is over or make them much lighter.

PMS can start 1 to 2: Weeks prior to your period.Pms symptoms can include pelvic/ abdominal cramping, nausea,  bloating, weight gain, moodiness, irritability, pain ; swelling of breasts, feeling tired, insomnia, headaches, ^ acne, food cravings, ^ appetite, swelling of hands ; feet, dizziness, thinking less clearly, urinary sxs ; exacerbation of chronic conditions.
