Infection: I do not know what your activities are, but infection, abscess a thought.  If one sided I would consider shingles. There are other neuropathic problems though.

The doctor or ER can check to see if there is a mass of some kind in the abdomen or pelvis. Sometimes an infection, pregnancy, diverticulitis, appendicitis, or some sort of tumor, can also cause such symptoms.

Stomach lump: May be ventral hernia, or mass, lipoma( they are usually soft) or other .or could be a pregnant uterus.  Would go  and have it checked out this week at urgent care/ doctor may need  sonogam or Ct if not pregnant

Xiphoid process?: what you may be feeling is your xiphoid process, which may be inflamed. Xiphoid process is the bone which is attached to the end of your sternum. If your stomach can tolerate it, I would  try an NSAID such as ibuprofen for a few days. If the lump is still there and painful, then you should see your doctor. Good luck.
