Go to doctor: What you describe sounds like it could be an ulcer or gastrointestinal bleed. Black Tarry  stools can be from blood or bleeding in your stomach. You need to go seek medical attention immediately.

: You may be experiencing radiation of discomfort from the splenic flexure of the colon where it takes a 90 degree turn under the bottom of the left rib cage.  The gas distends the colon there and would be relieved by passing down and out the rectum.

Yes!: Yes this is very possible . How constipated are you? Consider talking to your doctor about a laxative such as miralax (polyethylene glycol). You can take 17-34 g a day. Ask your doctor before using to take more than that for 2 weeks. Side effects are diarrhea and possible dehydration.

Worried? C MD: Tender in area you describe can be from gallbladder, duodenum , ( including ulcer), colon, kidney stone, other. Dark stool may be dietary, or not. Black stool may be from blood, iron, peptobismol, other. Maroon stool usually from blood. See your doc today.

See your Doctor: Question is vague.  Any change in stool caliber? Any weight loss?  You need to have blood work and probably a colonscopy and ct scan thorax.  Do you or have you ever smoked?  Do you have cough? Of course, these symptoms may be nothing but without knowing you, and you seem concerned, i would advise going to your pcp for evaluatin.  Do not worry, but seek help.

Stm shldr, thgh pain: May be but more likely2 processes. Shoulder left rib pain could be from stomach , gastritis with or without H pylori, food intolerance ( fatty stool)  or pancreas which is also associated with fatty stool . Check h pylori  and lipase/ amylase.  Rarely diverticulitis though usually that is lower abd .Thigh pain could be sequela  of abd dysfx or related to period. f/u/ w/ doc
