temple is sore like a bruise but no mark. ear pain, jaw clicking, pain under jaw bone to chin. doc says tmd. motrin doesn't help. tmj cause this pain?

Yes: Click indicates disc displaced.  You can't fix this by taking a pill.  See your Dentist.  As if referral to Orthodontist or Oral Surgeon is in order.  You need someone to determine the cause of your dysfunction and to treat the cause.

Neck pain: The area you feel the pulse is I the neck, so I assume the pain is in the neck, the structures in that area are blood vessels, muscle, lymph glands and nerves.
Pain could be from any one of this. Pain from the neck joints/spines need to be considered also

Yes: Get checked.  It could be infection but it could be something more serious like a tumor.  If there is a mass that persists a few weeks with no symptoms and for no reason, it may need a scan and/or a biopsy.  This is especially the case if there is a history of smoking and drinking or skin cancers for this part of the body.

Depends: Could be submandibular or parotid salivary gland, enlarged lymph node from infection or tumor, congenital cyst, etc.   A neck mass must be evaluated so see ent.

Please : Please go to your dentist or physician today!  an infection in the head and neck area is very serious!  if you do not have a dentist or physician seek attention at an emergency room at your local hospital.  If you cannot afford treatment, go to the nearest free clinic in your area.

Possible infection: It is possible this represents infection in hand or a skin reaction &amp; contact dermatitis affecting the hand, possibly an insect bite. The jaw pain may represent an inflammed and activated Lymph node. Would see UR primary care doctor, otherwise could become serious if not treated appropriately.

See Oral Surgeon: There are some other rather benign tumor might show normal sign on ct or x-rays. Of course, if it is swollen salivary gland, then it must has a reason that cause it. Please consult an oral surgeon for further evaluation.

Perhaps: You seem to be describing TMJ (temperal mandibular joint disorder.  You should see an oral surgeon, ent, dentis, orthodontist  or other provider  with expertise and interest in this condtion.  You need an evaluaiton and the is possible treatment for this.

Possible crossbite: If you dont have a tumor, your jaw relationship might tend to crossbite on one side.
