Sounds muscular but: While this sounds muscular, the diffuculty breathing makes me worry about any possible lung involvement. You need to be evaluated by your primary care to rule out pulmonary disease then decide on proper evaluation of your pain.

See a DR ASAP: Trauma, chest soreness and pain on breathing can indicate a broken rib and could be a hallmark of something more serious (lung puncture, lung collapse) It would be prudent to see a Dr so that they can take an xray and listen to your heart and lungs to determine if something serious is going on.

Go see ur FamilyDoc: Sensitivity to touch makes me think of zoster/shingles (http://goo.gl/TaqS6s). Without that, I think of pleurisy which could due to pneumonia. Perhaps you overdid one of your upper body exercise routines (although this shouldn't usually cause pleurisy or painful breathing). Bottom line, you need to see your Family Doc for complete &amp; thorough evaluation.
